The not so commonly found in Bangalore, common man’s food has been found on a common street of a common neighborhood of Koramangala! Woot Woot street food ahoy!
Right under my nose it existed and thrived and reached the level of more than 25 stalls on a stretch of lesser than 1km with some beautiful Bombay street food items too *bedazzled*
Excited main edda excited main edda 😛
Here is a sneak peek at what debauchery happened on the day we explored this small footpath line of stalls next to 5th Block Koramangala ground…
The freshly made peanut chilly chutney and tomato salsa sauce was worth every bite. A plate of 6 momos and unlimited sauces all for Rs.50/-
Masaaledaar lazzatdaar tawa pulao / tadka pulao Bombay style made me realize that there is so much more to explore in Indian cuisine – At Rs. 50/- only
The famous mirchi bhajji of Bangalore with coriander chutney so fresh that you can’t help yourself but ask for atleast 3 servings of just that chutney – At Rs.10/- wonly :O
By this time my hands were full of food and mind had gone numb with so much of happiness that I couldn’t focus on taking pictures. So go ahead, start off with 2 plates of paani puri and don’t miss out on the Bombay sandwich stall with options ranging from toasted and non-toasted versions of chocolate sandwich, pure old bombay sandwich, chinese sandwich and many more.
Polishing off everything with one of my favorite ice-cream flavours, the duet orange and cream stick.
Here’s an open challenge to you all… Eat food worth Rs.1000/- on your own from these stalls and I will take you out the next time B-)
